Women everywhere are rising into their power and changing the world. At last we have data showing the true value of women’s leadership:
- Fortune 500 Companies with the most women board directors have 42%–66% higher return on equity, sales and invested capital
- Firms with gender balanced executive committees have 56% higher operating profit than male-only
- Companies with 30% female senior managers have 15% higher net profit margins than all-male
- Women leaders are rated higher than men by peers, bosses, direct reports in 12 of 16 outstanding leadership skills
I could go on and on and can provide the study citations to support this.
Working for Gender Equality
But where is our gender equality? Women comprise 55% of the population and influence 85% of purchases, yet the USA ranks just 75th in world for women leaders. Women are working everyday to change that, and I love to acknowledge their fine work.
In this presentation I will cite examples from your group of women leaders who exemplify No Fear, Supporting Other Women, Leading with the Feminine, Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable, and more. I talk about four key ways women leaders are moving the dial towards gender equality: Ask for What You Want, Expect to Be Seen and Heard, Take a Seat at the Table, and Support Other Women.
