Encouragement and Tips for Woman Discouraged in Search for a Mentor

I recently got an email from a woman I’ll call Jeanne, here on the WomenSpeak site.

She wrote:

“I have been looking for a mentor/coach for a while. Most of the time I see women who are not so nice.

I have been burned enough that I am now jaded.  How can I move forward when I see women EATING their young?”

Here is what I replied.

Thank you for writing. Your words ring true for so many women of all ages. You are not alone. We all need to support one another rather than passing on more trauma to the next generation of women at home and in the workplace. It’s sad to see women who have internalized the abusive behaviors done to them and who have become abusers themselves. It does not have to be this way!

I have said this time and again:

The most effective way to make things change is for
women to cherish and support one another!

The good news is there are growing numbers of us out there who are interested in helping other women succeed. Please continue your efforts to find someone who can help you overcome the challenges you face. I hope you will find this article helpful in searching out a mentor. (read article)

I thank you and so appreciate your words and I respect and honor your words. Thank you for sharing them with me.  We are all connected.  :)) Many blessings.
