A well-known ally in the women’s empowerment movement is undergoing a name change. We are excited to share that Diversity Woman magazine is rebranding as Executive Woman: Elevating Women to New Heights—a move that marks a bold new chapter for a publication that has long celebrated and supported women in leadership as well as aspiring female leaders in business.
The change is not just about a new name—it is about evolution, growth, and a deeper commitment to lifting women higher.
This exciting rebrand coincides with the major milestone, the 20th anniversary of Diversity Woman Media. Over the past two decades, Diversity Woman has been a trusted resource, championing the voices of women who are breaking barriers and redefining leadership.
Its transformation to Executive Woman builds on that foundation, bringing even greater focus to the women who are not just making an impact but also leading the charge in boardrooms, industries, and communities.
The shift in the publication’s name was intentional and strategic.
“We decided not to have a descriptor in our name to help you understand who we really are,” says Dr. Sheila Robinson, CEO of Diversity Woman Media. “It’s less descriptive, less divisive. If I am a woman in the workplace and I tell my leader that I was just featured in Executive Woman for my leadership journey, I’m not going to be looked at for my differences. I’m going to be looked at for my qualifications and what I’ve done.”
Dr. Sheila says that this evolution is about reaffirming the publication’s dedication to elevating the voices of women who are shaping the future of leadership and spotlighting the stories, successes, and struggles that define their journeys to the top. “This new publication represents our continued commitment to elevating the voices of women who are breaking barriers, shattering glass ceilings, and paving the way for future generations of female leaders.”
The path to leadership is seldom linear. It’s filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and moments of triumph. Executive Woman will be a space where those stories are told—where the experiences of powerful women are shared to inspire, inform, and uplift others.
The first issue of Executive Woman features “Women Changing the Game,” highlighting the work of seven executives who are showing us the way to reach higher leadership positions, including the C-suite, at a time when progress has, at least temporarily, stalled. The story includes the leadership journey of our very own Dr. Nancy, who points out the importance of mentors and how behind every successful person is someone who showed them the way.
The packed issue also features the annual “Power 100” list, which spotlights 100 women rising to top executive and C-suite roles, including Women Connect4Good’s team leader, Melissa Miller Young. We are proud to have her recognized for her leadership in helping our organization pursue the goal of gender equality and supporting women to lead empowered lives.
Executive Woman will continue to feature readers’ favorite departments from Diversity Woman, such as Accelerate, a career development feature, and Take the Lead, which is focused on successful management. However, Executive Woman will also include new departments like Tech Forward, which highlights female CTOs, and sections on well-being, wealth mindset, and travel.
The inaugural issue of Executive Woman is available online now at www.diversitywoman.com. The print edition will be available at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide beginning February 24th.
