Too Much Fun at the Sunshine Run

If you missed it this year, mark your calendar to get involved next year. The Sunshine Run 5K benefited the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. Thousands of us came out in the early morning — it was still dark, even — and we were bundled against the cool.

We warmed up quickly though, and saw so many friends. Even more interesting were the team t-shirts invented by groups from all over the region who walked to honor a loved one battling breast cancer.

After less than an hour of brisk walking marked by tons of laughter and companionable chat, we made the final round on the track. What a blast. Start keeping your ears open in September so you don’t miss it next year!
