Congratulations to Leading Women co-author Lois Phillips, PhD. The Santa Barbara chapter of the Association for Women in Communication is honoring Lois, along with Santa Barbara’s congresswoman Hon. Lois Capps as a “2016 Woman of Achievement” during a luncheon on June 3, 2016.
The Women of Achievement Awards was established by AWC-Santa Barbara in 2007 to acknowledge Santa Barbara area women who represent the highest standards of excellence in the communications fields. Lois’ contributions as a leading woman in communication and as an advocate for women’s advancement has won her many honors and awards throughout her outstanding career. She wrote “The Power of The Podium” for her chapter in Leading Women and co-authored Women Seen and Heard: Lessons Learned from Successful Speakers (Luz Publications, 2004).
Lois also has a long history of service on local boards and currently dedicates her skills to speech writing, coaching executives on high-impact high-stakes presentations and facilitating Management Retreats.”
