This shared belief in the power of stories is why Women Connect4Good and Mission Matters have partnered on a new anthology—Mission Matters: Mission-Based Leaders Share Inspiring Stories on Power and Purpose—with a select group of women built around the “women helping women” theme. This book features 12 top mission-driven leaders who share their stories and reveal how they live their lives with power and purpose.
“I still remember the first time I talked to Dr. Nancy. When she talked about her platform, Women Connect4Good, she did it with such obvious passion for her cause, I couldn’t help but get swept up by the idea. Her energy was infectious,” writes Adam in the Preface. “It was a simple concept: women helping women. On the surface, this would seem pretty obvious, something that should be due or should have existed in the past. However, when I started doing a deep dive on Dr. Nancy’s website, it became obvious there was quite a bit going on—there was magic taking place.”
“Our stories have power. They can create solidarity, build communities and drive change,” Dr. Nancy wrote in the Introduction. “When Adam suggested we bring together a group of women with similar missions and ask them to share their stories for this project, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. We aimed high and reached out to women whose experiences, challenges and triumphs would not only start conversations, but also help readers find common ground and discover new ways to support one another.”
“The authors in this book share their impact in power and purpose with a theme centered around women helping women, exactly along the lines of the mission of Women Connect4Good,” Adam added. “We curated a list of authors who would share their stories, but also demonstrate a track record of helping advance the causes of women and women’s rights.”

The book made its debut at the Take The Lead Women Power Up Conference on Women’s Equality Day in Washington, D.C. To launch the book on Women’s Equality Day is significant, but the authors also hope to “power up” the readers to accelerate their own missions and share their stories to empower others.
