At Women Connect4Good, 2024 was a BIG year and 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger. As we enter these first weeks, our valuable partners, collaborators, sisters, daughters, and friends are more important than ever. We want them and the world to know that our commitment to achieving gender equality and empowering women to lead has never been stronger. Why? Because we know that women are the solution.
One of the first ways we will move forward this year is by creating a young women’s advisory council. While still in the planning stages, our goal is to create annual cohorts of young women and empower them to lead. Recognizing the need for next-generation voices at the table, we, along with our partners and friends, want to connect young women with mentors and guide them through the issues surrounding gender equality and the importance of equal rights for all. We hope to help them learn the importance of philanthropy through a participatory grant program and expose them to experts who can introduce them to all aspects of women’s leadership–finance activism and other gender issues—priming them to be the empowered leaders of tomorrow.
We are also launching Did You Know, a facts-based campaign to challenge assumptions, start conversations, and drive change. As Gloria Steinem said, “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” In today’s world, with women’s leadership at a standstill, continued inequities, and evaporating rights, that’s an understatement. Myths, misconceptions, and misinformation have held us back for far too long. It’s time to set the record straight. Knowledge is power, and the truth can change everything. With Did You Know, we offer quick, impactful insights and actionable steps for every woman and man on the planet.
Then, there is our Lift Women Up campaign. We have declared 2025 as a Year of Action, and through Lift Women Up and our other initiatives, we remind women it’s time to empower themselves and each other. Over the years, Lift Women Up has become more than a community—it’s a call to action. Thousands of women have joined us to grow, evolve, and create real, meaningful change. This year, we will invite even more women to step forward. Through free content, expert insights, and a steadfast network of support, we provide women with the tools they need to build thriving, stronger relationships and enhance their personal well-being. Whether starting anew, seeking balance, or looking for a boost of inspiration, Lift Women Up will help women and men take action to support women and girls.
We also have two books scheduled for release in 2025. The first, In This Together – How Successful Women Support Each Other in Work and Life, was originally released by Adams Media, a division of Simon & Schuster, in 2019 in hardback. The title, which will soon be released in paperback and re-released in Kindle format by Mr. Century City, features the thoughts, advice, and stories from 40 successful women across a variety of careers and encourages women to support each other in the workplace and in life—along with action plans and scripts to guide women to overcome obstacles like gender bias, bullying, and sexual harassment. The book also includes strategies readers can use to support women’s leadership and ways to engage others to help women advance to reach full gender equality. Incredibly timely in the current climate, In This Together is the perfect addition to every woman’s arsenal as we continue the fight for the opportunities we deserve.
The second book scheduled for release, Timeless Women Speak – Power, Purpose, and Feeling Your Best at Every Age, is an updated edition of Timeless Women Speak – Feeling Youthful at Any Age, which was released in 2008. The update, the result of a yearslong study, looks closely at the universal worries, wants, and pressures women face at work, at home, and in our culture. Although things have changed since the original book was published, the questions have stayed the same. More than 1,000 women helped capture the power and resilience of women of all ages in this new edition to give readers real-world advice for navigating the issues that challenge us throughout our lives.
Finally, we remain committed to living up to our name—amplifying our partners’ voices, expanding our collective reach, and making real progress toward equality. From coast to coast, we are surrounded by organizational partners, allies, and friends—leaders in the movement—who share our dedication to building a fair and just world. We are strategizing, sharing resources, celebrating wins, and lifting one another up through meetings, phone calls, and even our “Women Warriors” text threads. In these challenging times, we are more focused than ever, ensuring our work remains impactful and true to its purpose.
As Gloria Feldt said, “We must amass our power for good, (and) stay true to our authentic values…our cause and our work are more important than ever.” We could not agree more. In 2025, we will press forward with even greater determination—because the urgency has never been clearer, and the stakes have never been higher. The headlines tell the story: the time for bold, decisive action is now.
